Q: How do I register for the course?

A: Registering is easy! All you need to do is click the red Register Now button (found on most pages on this site) and you'll be taken to the page where you can enter your information. If you are taking a course because a court issued you a citation, be sure to have the name of the court and your driver's license handy.

Q: How long does the course take?

A: The classroom material itself for the driver improvement course takes about six hours to complete. If you are taking traffic school because a court has required you to do so, the minimum time required by law that you must spend "in traffic school" is six hours. However, you are permitted to take longer than this if you'd like, and you do not need to complete the course all at once if you'd rather break it into smaller pieces. The front-end and back-end time to fill out your personal information takes only a few minutes.

Q: How much does the course cost?

A: We charge just $25 for your course, and that includes delivery of your certificate via U.S. mail!

Q: Is your site secure?

A: Of course it is! We use a secure server (you'll see a lock icon at the bottom of your browser window) during all payment transactions. You are also free to pay by phone if you prefer, by calling our customer service office.

Q: What does the course look like?

A: The class material contains videos, 3-D animations, and quizzes throughout. There is also text to read, of course, and if you prefer you can get a read-along upgrade to have the written portions read to you while you relax and listen.

Q: Who created this course?

A: The course outline was designed by an award-winning expert in online learning, working in conjunction with subject matter experts in the area of traffic safety, as well as an editorial and art team to make the learning experience more robust. At the bottom of each page within the course, you'll see a link that you can click if you'd like to leave feedback or suggestions for the course design and editorial groups. The course is constantly being updated to include the latest laws.

Q: Do I need to take the class on the same computer every time I log in?

A: No. Although the use of cookies does help us track information better if you do stay on one machine, you can use any computer that has an Internet connection. The vital data is stored on our servers, not your hard drive.

Q: How do the quizzes work?

A: In some of our courses, you'll see a ten-question quiz at the end of each unit of study. While your scores on these quizzes are not provided to any governing body, you must pass with a minimum score in order to advance to the next unit, usually 80%. This is for your benefit, as knowing the material will help you with your final exam!

Q: How do I take my final exam?

A: At the end of the last unit, you'll be put into a final exam that tests your mastery of the material throughout the course. It consists of 24 questions that cover all sorts of things you might have seen within the course. These questions are pulled randomly from a question database, so you and your neighbor may not get the same final exam questions.

Q: What if I fail the final exam?

A: Depending on your state or court's regulations, you may have the opportunity to retake the final exam if you fail. The regulatory agency in your state mandates how many attempts you will have to take the final exam.
